The Manager of Levi’s Design Development will oversee the vision and execution of Levi’s fabric development and seasonal design strategy while working closely with the Design and Sourcing teams at the Levi’s corporate office and within Haddad Brands.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Conduct market research and identify current trends and competitive data as it relates to Levi’s to establish key objectives for the season
  • Source seasonal design requests with appropriate suppliers and offer solutions if it is outside of the brand’s sourcing and pricing strategy
  • Work closely with corporate licensors to coordinate fabrics when possible
  • Maintain a fabric library and wash standards to support seasonal inspiration of the brand
  • Attend all industry related trade and fabric shows
  • Analyze fabric needs across the brand and make recommendations to Production and Design for leveraging qualities across divisions
  • Ensure product integrity of the brand by facilitating the testing of all fabrics and washes prior to ensure performance and safety
  • Implement new process to shorten lead time for sampling and bulk
  • Review, manage and approve all fabric budgets
  • Travel to factories to oversee development of samples and production
  • Represent Haddad Brands in all design development meetings to align Haddad Brands with the licensor
  • Special projects as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Product Development, Fashion Design or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the fashion industry with a strong knowledge of denim development
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Must be a strategic thinker, persuasive and collaborative
  • Ability to lead and motivate team
  • Brand appropriate aesthetic
