Compliance Assistant

The Compliance Assistant will support Haddad Brands’ mission to meet our social compliance, product safety and chemical management expectations. He/She will monitor and maintain the performance data of factories to minimize risk, drive supply chain compliance and uphold positive working conditions globally. The position requires research and knowledge of sustainable practices in the supply chain and business efficiencies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Track and maintain data from factory audit results to monitor factory compliance with global regulations and licensor expectations
  • Track and maintain all garments for proper regulatory testing requirements
  • Manage invoicing and payment tracking for all factory audit activities, along with related metrics
  • Maintain Sustainable Manufacturing and Sourcing (SM&S) and PI (Product Integrity) internal reporting databases and licensor web reporting portals
  • Perform internal testing as needed and maintain documentation of results
  • Keep current with licensor SM&S/PI expectations, requirements and ambitions, as well as prevailing trends in corporate social responsibility and global and local government legal testing obligations
  • Assist in maintaining meetings and trainings with Design, Production, and Sourcing and schedule the cadences
  • Support obligations to retail customers such as Costco, Kohl’s, Foot Locker, Wal-Mart, etc.
  • Develop working partnerships with internal and external teams including Sourcing, Design, Overseas Merchandising, Quality Assurance, Licensors, and third party service providers
  • Work cross-functionally to incorporate sustainability with our supply chain and daily operations to support our licensors’ goals/initiatives
  • Special projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Prior experience in social compliance/CSR , product integrity/testing, supply chain, and/or manufacturing of children’s wear
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience with meeting facilitation
  • Ability to work effectively with remote and multi-cultural teams
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and independently
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel
  • Ability to work effectively with remote and multi-cultural teams
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (+ / - 15% of the time
  • Experience with AS400 and/or PLM a plus
